Same as us. I've even got a veggie chili cooking right now! I'm fighting the end of the Summer cold or the begining of the Fall cold

We only used our AC once this year and that was only because we had guests coming over. I'm pretty sure the furnace will get a lot more use though!

I'm holding out on the furnace! If the daytime temp is going to be in the 60s I don't turn it on when I get up. I will admit its been chilly and when my friend visited last week, we used my fireplace (gas) to take the chill off.

Same thing with the air, I think I used it twice and that was for company also! :-) I like having central air but this summer I really didn't need it.

Good to hear you didn't need the a/c susan!

Folks whether or not I'm on here tomorrow I'm not sure of. If I'm not I will be back in late September. I may check in here and there during that time period.

Thanks, Josh

We had to turn the furnace on last week when we had company for a few days. Now, both the air and furnace are off, hopefully for awhile. The nights are perfect for sleeping with a window open.

Hi! Didn't want to start a new thread on this - but - thinking of driving up around Eau Claire middle of October. Besides the college, of course, what is there to see? I know the colors should be good but does anybody know of any hiking paths, etc. ; or any other little towns in the vicinity? THANKS!!

I got info from travel wisconsin.com recently, a good website. I was interested in Jackson County, Black River State Forest, I just received a nice brochure in the mail.

Black River Falls is straight across the state from TR so I figure in the middle of Oct. it will be a pretty drive. http://www.travelwisconsin.com/
