There are a number of people in my neighborhood who WFH.
Next door does medical billing. She picks up the paperwork at the end of the day each day from a doctors office about a mile from here, does the work in the evening, and returns it all the next morning.
Another neighbor is a regional sales manager for a major corp and works from home when he's not on the road with account execs.
I work from home about 25% of the time, I'm a partner in a small business.
Another neighbor owns a company that does something with medical case management.
I know there are a couple of others, but I"m not sure exactly what they do.

Help Desk and technical support phone support personel are able to work from home now days. Not all companies allow it but some perfer it because they don't need as much of real estate to house them.
Uhaul used to have work from home customer service positions and Apple has some work from home-based Apple-care positions, but you may have to be a college student for that. I used to work for a closed captioning company and we had work from home transcriptionists, it wasn't medical transcription but for videos and TV shows, all you needed was a special USB pedal to slow down and speed up the audio on the computer.
