She received her fathers mining company in 1992. This is when she first appeared on the BRW Rich 200 List with an estimated net worth of $75 million dollars. Her current net worth is in the upwards of $29 billion now. She has since acquired multiple print and broadcast media companies. She has been a pretty solid businesswomen if you ask me. Granted she also had a little bit of luck thanks to a mining boom in Australia in the 21st century.

Obviously an economy has many many more factors than just a business. But I am a strong believer that the government local or otherwise should be run by people with a business mindset. Revenues need to at least match expenses, etc. She seems to be taking a capitalistic mindset to her approach on the Australian economy, which is that sales will go to the lowest bidder. Thus that is why she wants to lower their wage. In her view, she is saving their jobs and ultimately employing more people than would have been employed otherwise because labor is cheaper. I am not defending her, but I believe thats where she is going with it. I still think she is a disgusting selfish pig and I am sure she would NEVER take a pay cut herself for the sake of others.

No assumptions here at all. I'm well aware that the braying mass would far rather believe and jump to comment on a blaring headline than actually take the time and trouble to read something in context. Way too much effort involved. However, even watching and reading many of the relevant excerpts which are all over the internet might lead one to assume a semblance of intelligent reading/listening comprehension. that small fraction was 75 million

That's certainly not chunk change.

I WISH I was lucky enough to inherit even 5% of that.

Yes and going from $75 million to richest woman in the world is quite a feat. I only hope I can be just as wise with what I inherit even though it will be just a small fraction of $75 million.

It's not very hard to double, triple, quadruple, etc. $75 million dollars, even if you have only rudimentary knowledge of how money works.

As the saying goes, it takes money to make money.

I worked in finance in the past and I can tell you that it would be very hard for me personally. However, you clearly have opportunities for a lucrative career in investment firms. Just tell them that you can quadruple $75 million and you're set for the rest of your life.
