Given that I have to work....I'm doing what I'd like to do. Somethings are not the greatest about the work, but fortunately the people are pleasant, and there's hardly any office politics. It is in someways a gravy gig. However, the day I don't HAVE To work...bye-bye.
Let's parse. Am I LOYAL to my employer...no? Do I WANT it to go under? No. Do I want the BEST for my company? What other rational answer is there? That's an obvious 'yes' because that's how I stay employed, pay my mortgage, keep a roof over my head, buy food, clothes, put gas in my car, and eat out, travel, buy things I want and live my lifestyle.
When I get frustrated and start to go off, about "I hate this place, it gets on my nerves, I don't even care if it goes under".....then I say to myself -- OUT LOUD -- let's not get crazy now, you DO get a paycheck. And at 52 I sure don't want to be unemployed in this economy.
My whole deal is I've just psychological checked out from the job. I'm not going to wish it ill. But I'm not going to do anything extra either. I plan to do as little work as I can just enough to stay employed, at a performance level to get decent evals, but really day-to-day...coast (without being stupid about it.)
I love my job. I am in my late 30's, went back to school 3 yrs ago for an AAS degree even though I already had a BA degree from years ago. I now do what I love, make good money, hours are perfect for my family and my boss is appreciative.
I like my job. The money is ok, the benefits are great, and I don't have to work too much OT if I don't want to. They give me a lot of freedom on the job to do things the way I want. Of course, if the final results don't pass, I'll hear about it. We also get a nice yearly bonus, which I have never received anywhere in the past. Everyone pretty well keeps their nose to their work and doesn't give anyone a hard time. It's also a small business. I much prefer working for a small, close nit business than a large one where you're just another number. I feel family owned business tend to value their workers a little more.
I've worked enough places to know... It's about as good as it gets.
I like my job. I am in the career that I wanted to be in. The pay could be a bit better, but I like getting lots of PTO, being able to work from home when I want to, its not a high pressure environment, all of my co-workers are nice and polite, even though I would not want to be friends with all of them, and some of my co-workers are friends. All in all, I can't really complain.
I don't like my job.My immediate boss treats me well, and I like my co-workers and even most customers. But the way this company does things just seems stupid to me.
I don't like my job for the most part. Some days are decent. I pretty much have the job that I have to pay my bills and that is about all my job does for me. Everyday is more or less the same so I know exactly what to expect. I also work with some pretty annoying coworkers, but some are ok. I am always looking for new jobs and a new career though. I pretty much try and look for new work just about every single day.
