I started a job in June. I initially applied for a management position, but they ended up going with an internal candidate. My boss said she really liked me for the position and we get along well.
This job is a telesales/telefundraising job for an arts organization. I have done telesales/fundraising before and have done reasonably well, but sales is not really my forte.
I am currently having trouble meeting standards and although I have talked to my manager and asked for suggestions, things haven't gotten much better. I would like to ask my boss for more suggestions, but I don't want to draw attention to my subpar results. Am I being irrational or is it a bad thing to ask for too much help?
If I'm being unclear, please ask any questions and I will clarify and/or elaborate with more details.
