Well I didn't mention anything beforehand but a few days ago I recieved a call from Raytheon in Phoenix and they would like to have me interview for an engineering position. I actually had applied there a long time ago but sort of forgot about it until recently when I've had thoughts of changing careers. I'm supposed to go in either tomorrow or next week sometime for the interview so wish me luck.
If they decide to hire me and it meets all my requirements as far as hours, starting salary/raises, PTO, etc etc I hope to be starting sometime next month.
Location: Lots of sun and palm trees with occasional hurricane :)

Speedy - GO FOR IT. Good luck! It's probably safer than being a realtor right now.
Interviewed today and I got it, the negotiations went much better then I expected. I plan on starting the 1st of January and I have put my two weeks in at the office. What a way to start the new year right.

That's great Speedy. I bet you told them you hang out with all these great folks here and we said you should take the position and they were convinced on the spot!

He-he, if Raytheon doesn't meet these requirements... don't know who will... Good luck with the new job!
