So I was laid off in December of 2013 in Michigan. I was certifying but not receiving unemployment checks due to dispute, but that part isn't important for my question.

I received that letter about 'Cut off' going into effect (in dec 2013) from the federal gov't, which i though was for unemployment extensions past the state time allowed.
But I was no longer able to certify at all after that point. Like the option to certify online just wasn't there anymore. I did not get a good answer from the local unemployment office when I asked about what's going on.

I did FINALLY end up receiving unemployment checks for the 2 weeks that I could certify(like a couple weeks ago! wow)..but I was unemployed for a few months.

Can anybody give me info on what's going on and what Should have happened?

Sorry if this is confusing, I'm still confused.

THANKS
tammy

Are you saying you've only been paid for 2 weeks in the last 6-7 months? You are going to have to call them or visit an office. There is no way to solve the problem without doing so.
