I had no real goals or aspirations. I wasn't particularly talented or adept at anything in school. I knew I'd end up in some low paying menial work, and for the last 20 years I have been.

Well, I wanted to be in law enforcement as a kid until my stepdad got shot in the head during a robbery (was the chief of police in another state and he did live). My family are all musicians so I learned to play and decided I wanted to be in a band. I was in a band on the side until I had kids and then decided they came first.

After deciding not to be a cop, I planned on taking over my dad's construction company when I turned 25 but met my wife and moved to the other end of the state at 21. I didn't really have a good plan after that. I eventually went to college, got my degree, and started working my way up in the business world.

As a little boy, I wanted to be a meteorologist. I was fascinated with weather.

When I started college in 2004, I wanted to be a lobbyist. I was in political science.

I then moved to business school and wanted to get into a more quantitative role. I failed.

Since then, I've just kind of cobbled things along as I went. Given the decisions I've made, it's a wonder where I'm at today.

When I was in elementary school I wanted to write mystery novels for children.

After that, lawyer and eventual US Senator featured prominently, as did advertising executive.

These days I work in the travel industry.

I wanted to start a non profit organization similar to the christian children's fund and help feed and house children all over the world. Sadly, that dream never happened.
