I agree. Not like it could be much worse in the US than it already is.

Sex workers like that can make a lot of money, but aside from the obvious degradation, a lot of them blow it on drugs and other poor spending habits and end up a wreck by their late 30's with nothing to show for it and no prospects once their beauty starts to fade.

When I think about these women my thought is they earn every penny. If a man has to pay a woman for sex he probably isn't the sexiest dude on the block. Just the mere thought of that makes me want to puke in my mouth a little... having to [bleep]. No, there is no amount of money that could make me do that. I would rather sleep under a freeway overpass.

A man wants sex and pays for a girl's dinner and night out. He might just get a kiss on the cheek. At least with escorts you get what you pay for conpared to regular women. I don't pay for dates only dutch for this reason. I'm not "courting" a woman who most likely has given herself up to other guys for free before. Yes I'm a tad jaded. I love the disappointing reactions some even wealthy career women give when I ask if going dutch is okay. My experience is if if you pay for her dinner+movie+ticketd+drinks you are automatically put in the no sex category. Bravo for these sex workers for running an honest gig!!!! It shows that men appreciate the straightforward business transaction.

I totally support legalizing sex work, and believe this would end the exploitation. It is a choice. When we work, we all sell some part of our mind/body. If they don't have a moral issue with it, why not?

These men often also require "special" accommodations that a female in the general public might not want to provide even the sexiest dude on the block. There are some really freaky requests made. Not enough money in the world!

Exactly why I always paid my own way when out with a guy! I didn't owe him sex. I wasn't willing to trade my self-respect for a dinner and a night out.

I am hoping that there are a few men who don't date someone and consider it a business transaction.

Obviously for guys looking for sex and no strings, this may be an answer or for those that are well, "freaky" and/or embarrassed by what they are looking for, you know, diaper fetishes and such! Yuck!

The GirlFriend Experience? I thought that was particularly sad for someone that paid that much to fill a void like that. Just who are they kidding?

When I was stationed in AK, I had heard that some females went up around the remote sites and set up "business", and after one year, they were able to leave the "business" and pay cash for a home. As someone else said, I, too, would prefer living under a bridge!

I still believe that prostitution should be legalized and regulated, but the whole crime family thing and corrupt politicians will keep it from happening while "Christians" are blamed. Too much money made off of the "illegal" prostitution for those behind the scenes.

No, legalizing sex work will not stop sex trafficking. Look at the states that have legalized marijuana. Have drug dealers stopped selling dime bags? Is everyone going to an authorized dispensary?

Ah good point. I also left out tips.

I can't speak for anyone else but I could see how a gal that was pretty attractive could make the money the gal is claiming. 50% of $500 + $50 tip (or more) and then 800ish guys a year and you're in the ballpark.

Stripping is not prostitution. Human nature being the funny thing that it is, the hole in your soul that comes from prostitution is not nearly as deep with stripping and lap dancing. It isn't rational but that's the way it is.
