I wear a hard plastic badge holder attached to a retractable clip on my collar. The badge holder has room for multiple cards and I can just slide whichever one I need out of the holder when I need it. I don't hear any clickity clackety noises either.
Sounds like you have a job which means you are paid. And not a slave. Just a whiny over-exaggerator. Be grateful for a job.
I agree. There are numerous people out there that would be more than happy to have your job, and not complain about wearing a lanyard with badges on it.
I like wearing my lanyard. Keeps people from asking "let me see your ID". When I'm out and about, no problem. At my desk in my office I can leave it off, especially since I need my badge to log into my computer.
Can be dangerous near machinery. Wal-mart has the associates use this machine for boxes that smashes them down and people have had their name tags get stuck in the machine and have got injured.
