shouldn't take since December 20th to do something BASIC. Its unbelievable, how slow everything business related is, yet when its the collectors calling, or someone trying to sell you BS, they are always right on time.

Trying to get hired and get going to put foot on your table is more difficult than getting ready for deep sea diving

I've had this happen. They never contacted me after running my BG check, not even to tell me if there was a flag or something. I left multiple messages and eventually the person's line wouldn't even ring when I'd call. I'd check in every week, too, so I wasn't checking in a lot.

A month later they called me offering a new opportunity. I politely told them never to call me back. It's amazing how ya'll think the world works perfectly or something.

Did your offer letter not include a start date? Reach out to the hiring manager under the guise of preparing for the onboarding.

I think that it would be totally acceptable to check in, especially sine you've already signed a job acceptance letter to get an update on the timeline so that you are prepared.

Perhaps a call to HR to find out where you are in the process, what day they want you to start, and if there is any other information that they require, etc. Thank them, and plan accordingly.

I had this happen and learned the hard way that a background check is no guarantee of the job. I hope this isn’t the case for you. Good luck!
