As for the topic, Mao, Hitler, and Stalin are in leagues of their own when it comes to creating human misery. They may have been charismatic statesmen, and might've done some good (though almost all temporary) for a small group of their citizens, but at an incredible cost to other citizens.

Iraq Body Count
right around 100,000 civilian deaths in Iraq.. though site does not state which are from sectarian violence or a direct result of American bombings...

That is one thing to think about. Anyone can talk, and do a little bit, but th costs can be scary. A good leader is someone who will do good for the people and isn't out for his/her personal gain. Hitler, and a few others wanted totalitarian power for themselves.

Pol Pot.

At least Stalin developed the USSR and Hitler's Germany was doing pretty well prior to the Holocaust and Second World War.

Pol Pot destroyed his nation's economy, image, and people. There is NOTHING positive in any shape or form about his rule.

They were all bad. They all conducted mass genocide. They all lied to their nations. Just because you build things doesn't make you a good leader. A good leader doesn't do any of the despicable things Hitler, Stalin, and Pol Pot did.

Here is another bad leader few people think about. Nicolae Ceaucescu of Romania. Reign: 1969-Christmas 1989. This man nearly starved(and froze) his nation to death. He lied to his nation. He criticized the 1968 invasion of then-Czechoslovakia and turned around and locked his own nation in a reign of terror. He bulldozed villages. He also made people build his "Palace of the Republic". What was the reward? Winters where people nearly froze to death because there was no fuel to heat homes. Why? He exported it. Very little food to eat. Why? He exported it. Nothing went to the people. Meanwhile, he feeds imported veal to his dog. His pet dog ate better than the people did. He lied and cheated his country. That is why the people in Timisoara protested him in 1989. He ordered the army to fire on him and for a few days there was alot of violence. The army gave up. Ceaucescu was later executed on Christmas day 1989. He was a bad leader.

I never said they were good leaders, due to my political beliefs, I would have almost certainly end up in a labor camp and/or executed if I lived under Hitler or Stalin.

My point is that they did at least SOMETHING that can be thought of as positive, even if it nowhere near makes up for all the death, destruction, and sufferring they caused.

Pol Pot added NOTHING at all. He didn't build anything, he didn't develop anything, he didn't make any allies, and he didn't inspire any pride in his country. He only destroyed his country and killed his countrymen.

George Bush is the worst we ever had!
He went to war based on a faulty CIA report and when he was confronted by the news media about it. He said, "So what!" Thousands of innocent people had been killed because of a faulty CIA report.
Look at the U.S. economy, when he took over the White House, there wasn't any deficit at all; but when he left, the U.S. deficit was reaching about the same size as the U.S. economy.
Good job! George Bush...
