Bangkok looks aesthetically ugly in that picture but dense at the same time.

oh, yeah, of course. Thank god!! Those places sound insane. I like people around but not THAT much. And mine is like the densest nb in BA, overall the city is much less dense than cities mentioned here.

Barcelona

Rome, Hamburg, and Prague aren't the densest cities in the world, not close to either but they have a good quality dense environment. They are smaller cities tho, I wouldn't call them monsters.

Rome

Hamburg

Prague

Kowloon Walled City fascinated me for a long time, haha. INCREDIBLY dense. I mean if anyone thinks Manhattan in NYC is dense for example, multiply that by literally over 28 and you have KWC. I'm guessing it's the single densest place ever on earth. I believe it was also an "illegal" place of sorts. The city didn't plan it. I'm pretty sure today it's a few parks..it was only on 6.5 acres and 33,000 people lived there. Insane.

Yeah, pretty awesome. I'll try and find some others. There's some real good vibes in the air of some areas.

Here's some from my personal collection:

Here's a pic I snapped from my favorite Nargile (hookah) cafe there. Real old, tight place but great vibe

^^ Very lovely pictures of Istanbul. The entire country of Turkey is full of vibrant and interesting cities: Antalya, Izmir, Istanbul, & Ankara. Istanbul looks like an incredibly urban, vibrant, and culturally unique place. It's always been high on my bucket list of places to see. Turkey in general is right up there with South Korea, Japan, & Brazil to see next.

Not the densest city in the world (one of the densest in the United States though) but here's some of my adoptive first home in the United States, Chicago:

The cities are, especially Istanbul. An energy I can't really describe. It's a big country though so there's a lot of things. Cities, beaches, mountains, desert, rivers, woodlands, etc etc.

I recommend this documentary from Discovery Channel (45 minutes long). It shows way more than just Istanbul:

Discovery Channel Flavors of Turkey HD - YouTube

I want to go to South Korea, Japan, and Brazil a lot too. Japan and South Korea more so, and especially South Korea for their amazing food! I have a bunch of friends (including my gf - but she's from SE Asia so it's easy for her) who've been to Tokyo and raved about it.

That's my city, haha. I spot my building in a few of those photos just barely. I love it here. Good kind of urbanism and denseness. Here's my view!
