Why is the world and especially "anglo" cultures so Obsessed with blonde women?? (stats, ranking)

I actually prefer brunettes, but it's all about who it concerns. A strikingly gorgeous blonde woman will catch my eye more than a gorgeous brunette, but I don't at all have a specific attraction towards blondes as a trait.
Why is this world fascination with the blondes? Chinese/Japanese/Korean people take pictures at them as if they were exotic animals and smile/stare at them all the time.
If people like blonde women, what's wrong with that? What is it an obsession to like blondes and not one for those who like brunettes? A beautiful woman is a beautiful woman whether brunette or blonde or ginger, it doesn't matter!
I have to say that men of minority groups get a lot more hatred and criticism for liking White women than White men do for liking women of other races. I as a Caucasian male have expressed my preference for Latinas and no one cared but when my friends who were Black and Asian expressed their preference for Blondes everyone criticized them. You have so much material out there which shows White men how to date and marry Asian women or Latinas but no material out there that shows men of non-White races how to marry a woman that is an attractive Blonde.
The Anglo-Saxons came from a part of Europe, where blonde hair was common, especially among children, it was nothing out of the ordinary. So perhaps, that's why they showed preference towards individuals who were blonde. It's not that they were obsessed.

Yes, everything is from a white man's perspective. And I think the whole 'yellow fever' thing is overhyped. Conversely I wonder how many Asians have a fascination with blondes.
Some people have a preference for red heads, which statistically is harder to find than a natural blonde haired person. I read somewhere that 1 in 20 people in the world have blue eyes. Not sure about who has natural blonde hair, probably very small percentage world-wide. In looking at this from a statistical viewpoint, people like others who have unusual features. I believe this train of thought goes along with those with blue eyes, scarce, so people like the feature quite a bit.
