As to the North vs. South thing, it makes sense, if you think about it; northern climes will always have colder, in some cases--rainier, weather, while southern areas will always be sunnier, cheerier.
Then why are Icelanders much more extroverted and cheerier than other Scandis?
Because they have to. Otherwise nobody could live in that dreary climate.

Hispanics/Latinos are naturally bereft of the uber work ethic displayed by the ones above. Maybe more superficial and less "deep" by comparison. More prone to engage in silliness ala Mexican soap operas. Very very emotional along with a fair degree of childishness. Naturally submissive. Less personal accountability. Strong family values ala "my cousin said this and my other cousin said that". All day siesta mindset. Never building of their own accord and always settling for placing the blame for their own woes on others. Hot blooded and hot spicy foods. Tequilla

Everyone is mixed up in the U.S now. Most "white" Americans have at least some Native American heritage, and some have even African heritage. Even those who are "purely" of European stock are a mishmash of British, French, Scottish, Irish, Scandinavian, German, Spanish, Italian and Russian heritage. That's also why white Americans look different from Europeans and also rather indistinct from other white Americans (in a good way). In Europe, French people have a distinctive appearance, as do Germans, Russians, Brits and Italians. Their populations are relatively more inbred. For an even more extreme example of a small genetic bottleneck, look at white South Africans. They really look very...ahem...distinctive.

Of course they look different. White Europeans are far more heterogeneous in looks. Poles and Frenchmen don't look at all like each other. Americans are far more mixed up.
