Good. Apparently that guy also tries to live as middle-class as possible, too.

There's still going to be a slew of posters here foaming at the mouth even though they are casual drinkers and smokers themselves.

Someone who has the balls to do it and through doing it will stop drug related violence sounds a good choice to me.

Let's face it, legalizing marijuana is not going to stop drug related crime.

I don't think Pablo Escobar was killing people over Marijuana

Legalizing cannabis will keep lots of Americans from getting an arrest record and allow people who need it for medical purposes or research to get it without engaging in criminal activity. It will reduce some crime (like the 800,000 per year arrested for cannabis offenses) and it will keep some people on both sides of the Drug War from death.

So for these reasons, and many others, legalization and REGULATION (like alcohol) are the right choice.

You are right though, Pablo was into cocaine, not cannabis. Cocaine is less bulky and has a higher mark up, so it's appeal to a drug trafficing organization is obvious.

I agree with you, and I've said it plenty of times regarding my stance. Find a better way to regulate it on the spot so you can catch a person driving under the influence and I'd be all for it.. even though I still would choose not to.

However, for people to claim that it is going to end drug related violence.. well it just appears that they have been smoking a bit too much weed

Seriously,i think it is interesting, that means the world view of cannabis is shifting towards legalization.
Obama got it for two reasons: 1) The Chairman, Torbjørn Jagland, wanted to meet Obama (a sitting American president) in Norway, 2) The Chairman disliked Bush.

The Chairman is considered a joke in Norway. He was a failure as the Labour Party leader, as PM and as the Foreign Secretary.

Hundreds of people get nominated, and the list of nominees is not made public. We know who a nominee is only if someone announces that they have nominated him.

In fact, I bet the Drone President or the Spy President, currently in the White House, will be nominated. The Shock-and-awe President and Mission Accomplished President and Lie-about-WMD President was.
