Well, excitement is technically found anywhere when someone knows very well a important discovery in entertainment.

Someone has the potential to have fun in the middle of nowhere, and someone else might get bored in a megalopolis major city. However, there is definitely some specific areas of Planet Earth where it's more easy to notice excitement, and have fun almost everyday of someone's life. Objective, and Subjective reflection and contemplation is a key component in feeling excitement, and interesting hobbies, interests, and lifestyle.

Paris, Hong Kong, New York City, Shanghai, Bangkok, Saigon, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Vienna, Prague, Amsterdam, Nice, Madrid, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Melbourne, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Chicago, Seoul, Tokyo, Mumbai, London, Dubai, Los Angeles, Lisbon, Brussels, Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Geneva, Santiago, Brisbane, Sydney, Tel Aviv, Hanoi, Taipei without a doubt are all honorable mentions relevant to most exciting world cities of Planet Earth.

Mumbai, India - I have a love/hate relationship with Mumbai, but it really is an interesting place to be. One of the largest cities in the world and such low low amount of westernization.
And those lovely art-eco buildings the British left behind.
