I am an American married to a Chilean and living in Chile for the past 15 years ... although you could not tell by my Spanish!!!Anyway, to the question at hand...yes, with my husband, I am watching the World Cup and rooting for both the USA and Chile, although I am hoping Argentina wins the Cup. This is not the USA time for a World win, but there is always (Heavens! I sound like a Chicago Cub fan!!!) 2018 &/or 2023.

Why would you want Argentina to win?
I'm an American guy with a Chilean girl, so it's fun cheering for both teams.
Germany and the USA can just go out there and play to a draw, and win a leisurely trip to the next round with an unassailable 5 points each. Just another defect in a horribly flawed game. The old trick of Chess Grand-masters, who keep drawing against each other until they have enough points to advance.
I think soccer would be better if there were no goal keepers, actually, would make it higher scoring.
I'm an American married to a Scot so we always watch the World Cup. And we cheer for whoever is playing England.
Some of my family in the US say it's a boring game, not high enough scores. And they watch games like baseball!
