My only major qualm on Taiwan is Luxy Nightclub closing down recently. Undeniably one of the best multilevel massive nightclubs in the entire World. Difficult to imagine Taipei without Luxy destination nightlife zone. Even coming from a foreigner very far away. I can't believe I read news online saying Luxy closed down. One major landmark gone. Now I rather visit Vietnam before Taiwan. At least they are more entrepreneurial to save all of their best independent cafes, and nightclubs much more easily. I wonder what are all of those other Taiwanese nightclubs resembling compared to Luxy? I bet there are tons of other visual equals still existing.
If I lived in Taiwan, I would be mourning and grieving endlessly. Reminding me exactly of what I feel with some of my favorite cafes closing down in NYC (Cafe Pick Me Up Cafe Bar Restaurant, Verb Cafe, Tea Lounge, Esperanto, Bourbon) and Seattle(B&O Espresso, Pioneer Coffee, Original Version Of Bauhaus, Javabean without any Wifi) less than 3 years time frame. They all made millions of dollars, and just got the wrong evil rental manager "landlords" trying to ruin these cities. Devastating. Same with other nightclub and cafe closures.

I've never heard of this Luxy nightclub until now lol.
Anyway apparently they had to shut down because the frequency of police inspection has increased a lot since the murder of a cop like two years ago or something, which sucks for nightclubs in general. There are also a lot of competitions from nightclubs of other districts, so they probably could no longer handle the rent.
