If you had an option to live either by the ocean (places like Lisbon, Boston, Miami, etc) or by the mountains (places like Grenoble, Salt Lake City, Innsbruck, etc), where would you prefer to live?
Ocean.Water is peace, calm, recharge, life and is typically associated with warm climates. Versus Mountains which are typically associated with colder, harsher climates. Now , in general, lets look at the people associated with said places. People, in general, from warmer climates, from beach places, are known to be "warmer"people. Colder/mountainous places the opposite.
I would choose near by the ocean anytime, unless they're vulnerable to hit by tsunamis cities like Sendai, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Wellington or bunch of alligators and sharks around the Florida Peninsula.
The weather pattern tends to be more stable than inland especially for the northerly metro cities.
Also cities located side by the Great Lakes are on the list.
Why decide for one of them, if you can have both. I like the ocean and the mountains.
There are many cities which have both.
LA
Nice
Catania
Pescara
Honolulu
Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Naples
Sochi
Vancouver
Seattle
Athens
Antalya
Cape town
and many more
I'd prefer to have both, that's why I live on the West Coast.
