I see fewer countries in the future. Most people would rather be oppressed from a distant, unrelatable central authority than have the hassle of governing themselves.

But seriously, I think we may see more secession and independence, but likely balanced with more cooperative organizations linking nations.

I think you will see more independence then those new countries will cooperate with others. I don't know why you think people would rather be oppressed from a distant, unrelatable central authority over self determination when history has abundantly proven the opposite.

Everyone should merge with the closest superpower.

Canada and Mexico join USA.

South and Central America join Brazil.

Russia, Europe, Central Asia join Russia

Whole Middle East joins Saudi Arabia... (Israel will join the USA)

Rest of Asia joins China except India they will be their own thing.

Africa turns into one country.

New Zealand and every single little island in the pacific joins Australia.

United we stand, divided we fall. Human history, the story of the great civilizations of the past (Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, the European Renaissance) teached us that. But following political correctness, it is not teached anymore to younger generations. Instead they have to learn "small is beautiful"...as Charled De Gaulle once said : "great men are men with big preoccupations, small men men with small preoccupations". The same goes for countries and peoples.
