I'd say the US, Canada, Australia etc BUT in the US for example you will be grouped in with the "Latinos" or the "blacks" so to the answer the question non.
But that black American would not be told he's not a "real" American for reason of being black. He'd be in an American sub-group, but firmly American. I think that's true of Canada as well.
whites, blacks, latinos are easily accepted as americans
indians, asians, arabs I find that there is a hesitation for them to be seen as "american", for example when an indian origin woman won miss america many were critical on twitter, Facebook and so on, even racist comments were thrown..... forward a year and now the new miss america is a latin girl and no one said anything.
compare celebrities for example
the indian actor from the third rock is american but everyone calls him the indian guy, yet no one would call frank muniz (the latin guy from malcom in the middle), the latino guy (he's an american kid), or nicole ritchie (who has puerto rican roots, no one says she's not american), or christina aguilera or cameron diaz or christina million, selena gomez they're americans.... yet an indian or an asian is still asian or indian sort of foreign.
and of course black people are also american, no one says oprah is not american for example.
Now there is some truth to this for sure. East and Southeast Asians have to deal with, what's been called, "the perpetual foreigner" stereotype. Though it's still not as bad as it may at first sound.
Yes I know the past but get over it no one cares anymore. Like my religion was persecuted but I don't go round proclaiming who I am because I know no one cares and I am not better than anyone.
And yes my nephews are half Nigerian so I do know but I have to say traditions go away after a few generations
People of African descent in the US still feel the scares of slavery, the fact they proclaim their ancestry says that they are proud of their heritage. African proper are ridiculed world wide ota not to be compared to The Irish or Italians in America its completely different.
Racism stemmed from the colonial era and African people be it in Florida, Barbados, England or in Salvador, Brazil face the scares they are treated differently in society.
Now stop talking about this subject because you do not understand the psychology and the history.

Reason: Unnecessary

Do you know anything? Why do you talk about things you don't understand its nothing but ignorance and hear say you come up with...
African Americans are Americans from Africa its simple.
Should the Europeans in America stop pin pointing where their ancestors are from?
How the **** is proclaiming that one originates from Africa "racist"
Exactly, most white Americans will say that they're Irish, Polish or Italian etc.
