The worst thing about Brazil is the lack of will of most of the "intellectual elites" to change the criminal laws in order to punish criminals more harshly.

It's amazing the amount of bulls*it that the "intellectual elites" of Brazil make up in their minds in order to not do anything to punish criminals more harshly.

By the way, I'm much more a "liberal" than a "conservative", to use American categories... And I still think that way about the "intellectual elites" of Brazil and their attitude towards criminals.

So he took a government-owned airplane? Doesn't sound like a big deal to me tbh.
I didn't really read the article though, just the headline.

He flew to Berlin to watch the Champions League finale with his son. On government expenses. Apparently, he's a huge Barcelona fan, which already is a douchy thing on its own...

He then argued that it's his duty as prime minister to attend such events...

Yeah, obviously it's not a huge deal, it didn't cost that much. But still, I understand why the French feel betrayed. I mean, that guy earns a ****load of money and he still thinks that it's okay to use tax money for his own adventures abroad, because "no one will notice anyway".

Pretty similar to our Minister of Defense, who thought that it's okay to go on vacation to southern France and South Tyrol with his official car and driver that get paid by the taxpayer (officially a military vehicle; a BMW 7 series, though ).
