Why would there be an argument that we are the greatest nation? Perhaps because pretty much all the prosperity in the western world can be directly linked to nations following the American Economic Model post WW2. An Era that saw America not punishing the vanquished nations but rather unselfishly rebuilding them in her own image and protecting them from communist expansionism to the tune of trillions of American dollars.
The reason that Europe and even nations in the Far East are booming is because America exists as the biggest provider and consumer of goods and food the world has ever known.
The reason billions of people around the world live free of fear is because America's carrier groups are never more than a few days away.
The default position for the human condition is suck and America virtually alone has prevented that condition for billions of people on this planet for over 70 years.
Btw, just where do you think you would be if instead of America on your southern border, you had Central America there? Suck is where you would be.
Wow, what's happening in that socialist utopia of Iceland? we are neck and neck with them in your linked statistic of child poverty.
Ah, the misuse of the word socialist again. Iceland a democratic parliamentary republic, with a multi-party system is socialist.
Misinformed people also call Canada, another democratic parliamentary system socialist too.
...but let's run with it for now. If you are going to try and say Iceland is Socialist with having high child poverty rates on par with the US, surely you must include, all the other countries that get called socialist as well. Then your argument falls apart. Look at the list. Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, and even Canada, ALL do better than the US.
The Nordic model and "socialism" are two different things. No matter how many times Americans are told this, many of them never seem to get it. Years of misinformation in their media has done this to them.
I can see the 'American' in you Mr Joshua, you are obviously a typical American, showing all those qualities that obviously is the reason why you are part of the master race you described earlier, I would describe you as a Totally Wonderful, American Type or if you like, for short, a T.W.A.T.
Whoa! You can't see me now but I'm waving the flag and I have a certain finger up aimed eastward.

Hey could you tell me the difference? Specifically what the differences are? Thanks!

So you were saying?
I didn't say that Iceland has a child poverty rate on par with the US, the linked article did.

Google Socialism, then Google Democratic Socialism.
