Face it, though.

Few, if any, of us will ever visit Antarctica.

What a choice! I mean, Death Valley has the word 'death' in it... so that doesn't bode well...

Vostok Station, Antarctica...it's a much more unique experience, and I really want to go to Antarctica.

Actually I still confuse which one of that places. Both places are equally interesting to visit.
Although Death Valley is very hot during the day, at night the temperature often drops below freezing.
Antarctica is not only the coldest place but also the windiest and has the highest overall elevation of any continent in the world. Despite the fact that Antarctica contains 90 percent of the ice in the world, it receives almost no rainfall, making it technically a desert.
Best places in the world...
Who told you that? Death Valley is not the Sahara.

Climate Death Valley - California and Weather averages Death Valley

On the day it set the highest temperature of 134F, the low was 91F. The night time temperatures are cool relative to the day temperature but it only goes below freezing on mild winter days when it isn't that hot to begin with.

I would probably choose Vostok too. Been to the very edge of Death Valley already and from San Diego, I can get there in about 6 hours.

Vostok would be more of an adventure for sure. But the amount of time, money, effort, and danger involved in getting there as opposed to Death Valley is certainly daunting.

Vostok Station. I'm a pasty white guy that can't handle anything above 20 degrees celsius. I'd be a pile of ashes in a matter of seconds if I ever visited Death Valley.
