In terms of criminality, homicides or just natural disasters, what are the most dangerous countries/cities not at war (excluding Syria for example) in the planet?

Idk, Honduras isn't at war but doesn't have the reputation to be a dreamland...

Is a joke, right? Can't believe Sweden is more dangerous than El Salvador.

I believe the countries with highest homicide rates are in the Americas; Honduras, Colombia, Jamaica, Trinidad&Tobago, Belize etc

According to this article: Study: 43 of the Most Dangerous Cities in the World Are in Latin America - Breitbart the Cities below are the top ten most dangerous cities in the world.

Quote:
Caracas, Venezuela – 119.87
San Pedro Sula, Honduras – 111.03
San Salvador, El Salvador – 108.54
Acapulco, Mexico – 104.73
Maturin, Venezuela – 86.45
Distrito Central, Honduras – 73.51
Valencia, Venezuela – 72.31
Palmira, Colombia – 70.88
Cape Town, South Africa – 65.53
Cali, Colombia – 64.27
Quote:
Honduras and Venezuela are the most murderous nations on the world, with over one in 1,000 being killed each year.

Agree that Europe is the safest continent, however, the figures you published are of 2014 and Cali and Palmira are in what could be considered a metro area (it's like London & Crawley or Slough). Both cities are also now out of the top 20 and top 30 respectively and nationally Colombia now registers less homicides than Brazil or Dominican Republic and much less than Venezuela so you're not correct with your country list.

Also there are many cities in Africa that don't have reputable statistics. Kinshasa for example is a city thought to have over 110 homicides per 100,000 but doesn't make the list because statistics aren't properly published or massaged in some African countries.
