Didn't you have a black president? I know plenty of Asian, Arabs, Blacks and Hispanics that are educated an grow up "normally". Seems like you are the one that thinks poorly of all these people

the world already grows too much food and could grow far more , millions of hectares of land in africa alone is suitable for food production , never mind south america

Ok so in the West it's racism, but in China it's "different culture"?

Try again and yes Americans do root for the underdog what rock have you been living under?
the ( largely speaking ) fairytale of someone from the projects making it out through talent in whatever field and becoming a millionaire is not only so rare to be completely un noteworthy , it creates a false and dangerous narrative that if only the rest of the poor folk tried harder , they too would be rich , its one which suits the wealthy and which republicans in america parrot endlessly , its a complete lie but a powerful and very american one

no western country treats the poor worse than america does , a country where those in the lower middle class will cheer on a tax cut for the trumps and buffets of this world even the price to pay is a cut in welfare for dirt poor folks in their own state

BTW , im not referring to race in the above , there are millions of dirty poor white folks in america

Typical lefty drivel.

What you are espousing here is determinism, that you can't change your situation so don't even try, just stay there and be quiet about it. Not that different from the caste system.

It IS a caste system, of nationality. Like the caste, a baby is assigned a nationality at birth, and the chances of any of five billion rising from an untouchable nationality is about the same as rising in caste in India. For an overwhelming majority of third world citizens, they can change their situation only by extremely good luck and perseverance and exceptional intellect, or through illegal immigration. Forcing them into that option is not playing out very well in today's global dynamic.

Typical self-serving Brahmin drivel. I worked hard for my sailboat -- go back to your cushy job in the tin mines or the rice fields, and try harder, and get in line with your Bolivian or Laotian passport.

There is a huge difference between "Any man can become a millionaire" and "Every man can become a millionaire". To become a millionaire, you do not create wealth -- you take somebody else's.

I see and agree with your point about India, but ...

is this a "what have you done for me lately" and "completely out of historical and contemporary context" proposition?

In any case, most, if not all, the countries mentioned in post #1 are at the high end of the military-industrial complex food chain.

It is easy to hide behind cherry-picked, feel-good selfie propaganda.
