Energy, atmosphere is completely to at least technically separate. Plus, the Muslim Islam religion. Mosques architecture buildings. The way people smoke. The way the ladies might dress often. Border crossings with Cyprus, Syria, Iraq, Georgia, Armenia, almost with Lebanon/Jordan/Kuwait/Iran.

Please no building bridges with European Union, Euro song vision, proclaiming Turkey is in Europe. Azerbaijan is in a similar group of events.

True, Erdogan made sure that plans of Turkey joining the EU would be out of the question for the unforeseeable future, they were pretty low even before him though.

I agree, and Islam has been part of Europe since the 8th century and It is an ancient religion in Europe just like Christianity and Judaism is. Muslims exist in all European countries now. Yet other majority countries in Europe could be part of the EU in a few years like Albania, Kosovo and Bosnia.

Sure much of Turkey is secular but eastern Turkey tends to be more religious.

Even in Istanbul, the Non-Westernized music, ubiquitous coverage of Mosques, and conservative dressing still didn't really feel Secular. Even over there in the other side of the country. Morocco actually feels noticeably within the boundary labels in relation to Turkey.

Turkey, Cyprus, Azerbaijan can't ever be part of the European Union EU. In another Continent.

Those Yugoslavian republics could be, although. Including Serbia, especially.

There are lots of Europe countries with no Muslims, or close to zero.

Those countries do identify themselves as European (at least East Thrace in Turkey's case).
