I have truly tried to love soccer but just find it boring.

I also find NASCAR and golf and tennis boring to watch (not necessarily boring to play). I like basketball and am sort of neutral about baseball - I mean, I can see the appeal but it sure does seem to last a long time - LOL. I love American football though - at any level.

The NFL is a very complicated game, if you didn't grow up with it. On the other hand take them to an NHL game, the Ducks or Kings in my case, OMG they absolutely love it! I am also aware that most Aussie's that have played in the NFL were kickers, some very successful. Jarryd Hayne did make the SF 49ers as a RB, but was not very successful. He played in 8 games, had 17 ATT for 52 YDS for a 3.1 AVG, fumbled 3 times on only 8 Punt returns, no TD, but did make 4 1st downs. My point was just because he was a great rugby fullback, didn't mean he would be a great NFL running back.
o please complicated lol more like make no sense so why would i as euro care about mind you i live in usa for 23 years but american sports are just boring nothing interesting about it

You realize under your criteria Usain Bolt is not an athlete but Joshua Cheptegei is. Meanwhile more than a few of American entries and medalist into the "World's Fastest Man" competitions have had NFL careers

You are making my point for me! In 23yrs you still were unable to understand, and grasp these American sports. You probably didn't grow up with them. It is hard to teach an old dog new tricks, my friend. You probably couldn't tell if a baseball pitch was a slider, curveball, fastball, knuckleball, or changeup. You have a lack of understanding, that is why you find them boring.

America has a huge soccer following it’s not as big as Basketball, Baseball or Football but it’s definitely fairly close to Hockey, and it’s probably the bigger sport in my region (Texas).
Very interesting so is soccer biggest in Texas? Do you think it has something to do with the Mexican-Americans? Are they making the sport more popular?

American football is absolutely huge in Texas, from NFL, NCAA, and High School. Just think of that movie "Friday night Lights" Texas has high school football stadiums that hold 30k, let alone the Dallas Cowboys can put 100k in their stadium, U of T can put over 100k in their stadium in Austin, and several other college stadiums can hold 70 to 90k. Houston Texans can put 75k in their stadium. Soccer is not that popular among white Texans. The Dallas and Houston MLS teams are usually near the bottom in attendance, even though they have a beautiful soccer stadium in Houston, but the one in Dallas is sort of a dump. Austin is building a new soccer stadium, so without any other big pro teams they might do alright.

It's most popular in the PNW - Seattle and Portland.

no you making point for me. i understand the rules but they do not make sense why do they have to stop every down i know commrcials and formation set but WHY that complicated for them to just line up again but again they are 6 second specialit so they need 45 seconds of breather. only two players play at any given time qb and the guy who will recieve the ball. extra point , field goal all just invented fr puropse of higher scoringbecause nfl would be boring even more if only thing you could score is TD i mean most time the nfl game is played in midfield lol is that what nfl fans and others do not like about soccer lol. but back to nfl nfl would be even more boring if there is no field goals because like i said most action in nfl is happening between 30 nd 30 yard lines on both side of fields. and if there is no field goals games would be 0 0 most of the game. rules are simple in nfl it was like designed for kids to know what is happening lol. bu sport has no relegation promotion like other american sport so diffeats the purpose and fundementals of sport loosers go to lower division winners gets win

You are just loaded with misinformation. You questioned the lack of athleticism of NFL players, when another poster already corrected you that NFL receivers are some of the fastest human beings on the planet. NFL receivers make acrobatic, twisting, leaping catches on their toes straddling the end zone to stay in bounds in just about every game. You try doing that! Diego Maradona was one of the greatest soccer players of all time. He was a short 5'5" pudgy guy with a small beer gut, he would look absolutely ridiculous next to the tall fine chiseled athletes these NFL players are. A lot these NFL players can bench press 400 pounds, and can jump at unbelievable heights.
