Neuschwanstein has to be one of the most beautiful castles of all time, the environment makes it seem so magical, as if it's straight from a fairy tale.
This is the castle in the tiny municipality I grew up in. Nothing impressive compared to the other castles posted here but still, I used to love going there as a child
I love the Castle ruins in Germany; it is more fun climbing around on them alone than visiting the restored castle / museum places although thats fun too.
