And they even have "English" as part of their handle...

Yikes!

Hey Cyborgt800, did you forget about this caveat?

"...an extra, and exhorbitant, tax..."

LOL - that's one I typed. It seems I'm also trying to add my own changes to the language. I even have a decent spell-checker, and it still got in there.

Here's another one which annoys me. Frequently, people write "everyday" when they mean "every day."

My mom has a degree in education and has been en elementary school teacher many years. My dad has a B.A. in Divinity and a Master's in journalism, and has published a lot of poems and short stories. He's just submitted a pretty large book manuscript for publishing, full of philosophical and scientific insights and his own research, and it looks likely to be published. He turns 80 this year.

I'm a slacker. I have a few years of college, with no degree. Grade school was mostly at an international school in India.

I'm guilty and I'm not even sure I know when using everyday is wrong.

"Everyday" means most common, the usual. "Every day" describes something happening each day. That is one that I do know.

I type goto instead of go to constantly. In my defense I am a old school software engineer and goto is a word when programming......

Recently I was also complaining about paid schills. Ignored that schill was even highlighted in read. Yes I know its shill, I have no idea where the c came from. Interestingly enough a google search for "paid schills" and "paid shills" has 10% of the results with the c.
