A square meal. To me, this means all food groups.
Don't know if this is true or not, but my dad used to tell me that when he was in the boot camp, his sergeant would make them eat their square meals in a square fashion, from the plate, fork up at 90 degrees, then vertical at 00 degrees to the mouth.
