I can work in a school, or factory. I have administrator or administrator assistant experience in a business/factory environmets. I also have experience in history, art history and different types of exhibitions.

I prefer to live close to Montana or SD and in mountains/rivers area, better than desert.

Thanks a lot for helping me narrow the options.

This is the land of oil, natural gas, bentonite, coal and gypsum - all drilled or mined. Wyoming and Eastern Montana are high plateau deserts and much of South Dakota is as well.

If you're watching Fox news right now, you'll ALSO find that the law (Local, State and US Marshalls) are clearly FULLY capable of getting together and making things happen...

...2nd AZ escapee is back in cuffs...one more to go; my guess is he'll be heading towards Northern Idaho and into Canada...

...they know better than to 'hide' here in Wyoming...cuz if the law don't get you, the Grizzlies will ! ! !

You may want to check out the Gillette area while here. Although Gillette is out on the prairie itself, it is only about an hour's drive to the Big Horn Mountains to the west and an hour's drive to the Black Hills to the East. We find it perfect for getting to go to a variety of outdoors places on weekends/summer getaways, etc. The reason I mention Gillette is because the economy here is still pretty good compared to most places. Of course, it's not booming as it did a couple of years ago, but things are still moving along. Lots of employment is in the coal mines, the schools and the medical field. Oil field work has slowed down. Now that Gillette has about 30K people there are jobs that have to support that number of people, too. What kind of school job might you be interested in? I work for the school district so I could look into things if I knew what you were looking for. Thanks for the nice words about Wyoming people. I agree!!!! The folks on this site have always been super friendly and they are the same in person!

In a school I might be able to work as a teacher assistant, or maybe in some kind of social work. I do not have a license to work as a teacher, but I have a BA in and all credits for Master Degree in History. Maybe as a teacher assistant I guess... Are there any universities close by in Gillete? My son is 20 and maybe if I move, he might wanted to move too if there are universities, colleges around. Thanks a lot for your help.

Only one university in the state, UW in Laramie ... which isn't very close to Gillette.

Wyoming has a list of requirements for teaching positions, so you might want to check them out on the web. Others on this forum are in that field, and can give you more specific advice ....
