Mountain View is a small community of just over a thousand people. It might be difficult finding anywhere to live in that town. Rock Springs and Green River are not too far away.

Do you think you are ready for the winters? They can get pretty nasty down in that neck of the woods.

Default Sherdian

Elkhunter I see you live in Sherdian maybe. I have uncle that lived there for a long time. He was the one that had the Christmas tree built out of Rocks. On Big Horn area. There was a picture of it a few years ago in paper there in Sherdian. It was neat but raised quite a stir too I think.

I lived in Sheridan for many years. I finally got tired of the rat race and now live about 21 miles out of Sheridan. 15 miles by interstate, but I don't use the interstate because I drive a licensed 4 wheeler. I have to use secondary highways or county roads. But I can still leave my place and be in Sheridan in 30 minutes. From my door to the VA for an appointment takes me 35 minutes.

To give you idea's on prices, the cabin next to me just rented last week for $600 a month. All electric with A/C. Small 1 bedroom, but it's on 3 acres. Right up the road a 3 bedroom trailer rented for $700. Has propane heat, but also has a wood stove. It has a 1 car garage. Apartments around here run about $600 a month and utilities are included. I've seen a couple houses, with attached garages run $900. There is one house that just had the people move out a couple weeks ago, not sure of the cost. But it appears to be a 2-3 bedroom, detached garage, large storage shed, nice garden area, dog run, and the previous tenants groomed the yard, it is absolutely beautiful.
