Would I survive in Star Valley Ranch/Thayne?

inversion here the warm air traps the cold air smoke and fog close to the ground I live in a fog, living in the low spot of the upper valley. Have gone x-skiing or snow shoeing and you can feel it get warmer as you climb up hill.
Afton is only 15 from Thayne> I am only 6 miles south of Tahyne and good roadfs , Jackson should be less then a hour and the City of IF (Idaho Falls is 90 Min.. Logan Ut can be 90 mintues with good road low traffic and flying low.

interesting.. I just emailed the National Weather Service, Riverton office this morning (which forecasts for the SV) and they told me the SV gets some, but not that many days of low clouds and fog... they said temperature inversions are very common, but moisture (fog/low clouds) isn't associated with the inversions as often.

Good to know about travel times... in that case, we might consider a little further south.

well I get to live in a fog alot can drive 4-5 miles and you are above it, usually just a temp inversion in the winter or after a cool rainy night in the summer. Usually it burns off in a few hours. But like I say right where I at it can hang on. most the home in the valley are up off the river bottoms and the river bottom is where the fog sits.

Gotcha.. well, you live there, not the NWS.. So I believe you.

Anyway, I live along a river, so I know what you mean about the river fog aspect.
