Her claiming to be "from here" is like Obama listing his residence as Chicago. She has had several run-ins regarding our G&F, and only seems to survive within a 50 mile radius of Jackson.

It has nothing to do with her father or any affiliations, but I think she is a Wyoming phony trying to leverage any clout her last name has into a high paying gig where she will sell her "fellow citizens" up a river.

I read the Alta senetor's Leland Chistensen, his bio. He would do a better job i believe. I do not know him personnaly, only what i read in the news about him. Seems a stright up guy!!
Hopefully Miss chaney will have the same results when she tried to run for the US Senete, a few years ago?

When she was running for senate it was against Mike Enzi, who has always been pretty popular in Wyoming. I don't think she stood much of a chance against him, and I'd guess that became pretty clear to her early on, which is probably why she decided to drop out of the race when she did.

I don't even know who all will be running in the congressional race, but I'd imagine she'd stand a much better chance when there's an open seat. I don't know much about her. I didn't consider her in her senate bid, as I've known Enzi for 45 years and he has my loyalty, but as I recall she was attempting to run as being more conservative than Mike, and Mike is pretty conservative. And smart.

She might do fine. Her dad came back (from D.C.) to Wyoming to run for Congress in the late 70s and was a great representative for Wyoming. She's certainly been around conservative politics at the highest level.

Yes, but Dick has a few liberal ideals strewn in, (support of gay marriage) so I'm not so sure she'll be as hardcore conservative. Wasn't the Cheyney family from Wyoming then, if she's not from there?

Whatever her political positions she strikes me as someone who is very out of touch with the average Wyoming resident. How many of her friends live on small farms or ranches?

While I appreciate her mostly conservative views I would prefer someone who is more 'plugged in' to the reality of locals.

From the Washington Post

Quote:
-- Liz Cheney botches her rollout and reinforces the perception that she's a carpet bagger: After her disastrous primary challenge against Sen. Mike Enzi in 2014, the daughter of the former vice president is much better positioned now that she's running for an open House seat in Wyoming. But one of the issues that dogged her so much last time was a lack of meaningful roots in the state. So we were baffled when the announcement on her Facebook page Monday said that it was posted in Alexandria, Va. The geo-tag has since been removed, but talk about an unforced error!
