Default Lander Snow

Happy Memorial Day Weekend, everyone. Snowing in Lander, so thought I'd take a few photos of the almost blooming, or almost blooming, flowering trees and flowers.

Thanks for the pics of the snow in Wyoming for Memorial weekend. Here, where I live in "sunny" SoCal, we had snow flurries yesterday, but only about 1/4" stuck to the ground, so it didn't look anything like what you all posted.

Thanks, jdavid. It's now Wednesday. The temperature is above 60, the flowers survived, and all the snow is gone. Back to spring!

We have been flooding every day. (pictures in my album). So I took a drive up on top yesterday, June 14, 2011 and this is what I found. Looks like we'll be flooding for a while until this melts down.

UMMM yeah

For a little while our line from Casper to Laurel was the only one open because of all the flooding about a month ago. Then our line flooded for and was shut down for a day or two. I was on the last train through before it flooded, and then ended up on the train out of Laurel to go fix the track at Silesia. I guess a dam up above Joliet spilled over or something. Ended up washing out about a 700 foot section of ballast.

Made for some good pay being away from home for 40+ hours though
