The one area that comes to mind that is higher, snowier, and so more forested that may not be too pricey in WY, besides over in the eastern side like around Newcastle, is in the Snowies area. The issue with being in the forested mountains in a lot of WY is that you are in competition with higher priced vacation home shoppers.



You might look over in Idaho. The area around Salmon come to mind as being more chance of forested and not too pricey. Challis too though parts of that area are drier. Or on the west side of the state well north of Boise like in Adams County and further north on up US95 towards Kooskia. Lots of very nicely forested areas over there.

Great idea! I didn't realize you could fish for salmon in Idaho, I will look it over. Thanks again.
