The whole country seems to have warmed up. We're at similar temperatures here. Not fun for this winter lover but what do you do?

Does he mean this winter still or that next winter will be colder? Yes, El Niño and La Niña are cyclical events.

Were off grid. Last two days we had to bring the gen inside before we could get it started a pain as it's kinda heavy. Also couldn't get the torpedo stove going as the fuel was too thick to be siphoned up. A cpl hrs PIA both last two days. Got me thinking about the coldest long spell in Wyoming but haven't been able to find it on the net. 5-7 days of extreme cold (-30), could prove to be on the tough side!! Wyoming is also the 4th coldest state in the US. Amazing how -25 feels easy but -35 is a whole new ballgame!
Propane and diesel are done in low temps. Propane won't gasify and diesel just turns to jello. The gell point of kerosene is supposed to be -40 though, so you must have been creeping up on that for that stove to not work!

Kerosene works in my Diesel heater. And we use it to thin out the diesel for the tractor when it really cold along with other additives to prevent gelling
