I have three friends that all together own 4+ businesses in Jackson. One of them lives over the pass in Victor, ID. One lives right in town. You've got to be seriously committed to make a go of it in Jackson. Overall cost of living is approximately 50% higher than the US average. Median home cost - $465k. Income per cap is (surprisingly?) only a little over 35k.
