I moved and terminated service because I was not sure where I was going. I ended up staying in Rock Hill and opened a new account. The salesman (if anyone wants to know send me a message) got me high speed internet for $29.99 for a year and free installation. I actually got a house only 2 miles from my old place. The installer when done, used a meter to test my signal. He said I was getting a "stong" signal and internet and TV picture should be great. I am not finding much difference in speed but the 1 year special price is good for now. They had a special on the cable TV too. Basic, basic plus, and digital for $39.99 for two years, price locked in. So, I get about 75+ extra channels and save about $20-$25 a month.

Was this with Comporium? I'm actually moving to Fort Mill in the next month or so. I know that Comporium was the way to go with Internet, but I was thinking about DirectTV for TV.

I live in FM and have Comporium for internet, and DirectTV. I signed up with Comporium when they had the $29 special too. I have no problems with either.

that 29.99 special used to cost me $45.95 (but my total cable and internet bill came with a $5.00 bundle discount)........and the $29.99 is for a year, I think. I am not sure if the specials get you a bundle discount of $5.00. Part of the specials is free installation. Mine was ugly, the installation, hole through the brick and the guy was here close to 2 hours and had to climb the roadside telephone pole and tighten the dial up phone lines that were hanging too low to the road. Once finished he did not like the "looks" of the outside wiring, so installed me a large plastic junction box to hide the wires. His boss came by near the end to check on the progress. I hated to do it to the guy, but I told his boss, "I hate to get him in any trouble, but the fact is.....he took a 30 second break to drink Powerade."
