Lots of homes up for sale in Whitley Mills Townhome subdivision. Anyone has the buzz on this epidemic. Seems every week another "For Sale" sign goes up

I don't live there so I can't really answer your question; but imho there can be all kinds of reason. For example; people can be moving to a larger house with a 2 car garage; owners got tired of all the restrictions with the HOA and are looking to move; people have lost their job so they need to sell and go back to renting, etc.

There are just so many different reason why this is happening that only the sellers can really answer.

I can say this much; my wife and I checked out the townhomes a few years ago and we were put off by the restrictive rules and covenants. Which were also why we told our agent to take any home in Whitley Mills off the list when we upgraded eariler this year.

How many homes are up for sale? I used to live there and I am glad that I sold when I did. As you said, too many restrictions. Some of my friends that just sold or trying to sell have taken such a loss on their homes. I don't know if it is the economy or people just want a larger home. Too bad it was a nice community.
