Where is the best hospital located near Ft Mill? I am a labor and delivery nurse and would like to know what hospital would be best to work for?? I am not asking only based on location BUT on reputation for good doctors and good care? Any thoughts???
CMC in Pineville has an excellent reputation. It is a very short drive from Fort Mill and can be an interstate-free drive. There is also Piedmont in Rock Hill which does not quite have the rep of CMC, but my gf's sister was just in there and they were good.
I recently had baby at CMC Pineville and it was a FABULOUS experience!!! The nurses were wonderful. It was very relaxing and a truly positive birth experience for me as well as my husband. i'd rate CMC Pineville a 10. We live also in Fort Mill, and it's about a 15 minute commute via the 51 for us.
Thank you....that is good to know!! Any recommendations on ob/gyns? I absolutly LOVE my OB here in FL and I really don't want to leave him BUT I am sure there are good docs there. We plan to have more kids so I want someone good. Any ideas?
I heard of some medical center/hospital in Ft Mill....I also heard to stay away--anyone know what that is?
It was probably Piedmont in Rock Hill. Fort Mill does not have a hospital. Piedmont does not have a great reputation, but my gf had sinus surgery thre Friday and her sister had her gallbladder removed and another related surgery earlier this week. Most of the staff was good; my gf's ENT surgeon was excellent. One old nurse though reeked of cigarette smoke. She also did not was her hands on wear gloves when changing the dressing on my gf's nose. Pretty gross.
Carolina Medical Center- Pineville is the best hands down. Their care is awesome and having the neo-natal unit on site is great. Their nurses are caring & professional and the accomodations are suite-like.

Piedmont Hospital in Rock Hill- not so good. OK, but not exceptional.
