We found out yesterday that my husband is being transferred to Rock Hill in a couple of weeks. We've never been so we are waiting till we get there to find a place to rent. Any suggestions on an affordable, extended stay type place that we can stay temporarily? We have two small dogs under 25 lbs. each. We would be willing to commute 30 minutes to get to the Galleria area. I checked with Extended Stay America in Charlotte & they wanted about $1,700/month, that is a bit steep!
Also, any suggestions on where to get a nice rental home, duplex, townhome, NO APARTMENT for under $1,000 a month in the Rock Hill area? Would like something nice & safe.

My first thought for you was an apartment complex in Fort Mill that I have heard rents for short term. A number of posters on this forum have mentioned it. I think it is Palmetto Place off of Rt. 160 near Gold Hill Rd. A number of people new to the area have mentioned renting there. I don't know price and pet policy.
But, I live in Rock Hill not far from the Galleria and have a better idea. A number of townhomes in a development near me are for sale and many are renting. The following link is to one that is renting for $900.
I found the link by googling for "Altherton Place rental in rock hill SC". I am sure there are others for rent in the complex. I see signs when I ride through there.
The community is called Atherton Place and is located off of Dave Lyle Blvd. behind the Target complex. I think it said it would accept dogs and cats. Look up the neighborhood on mapquest.com.
Hi MeMe2010. I cannot help out with rental info. but I would love to share my post about Rock Hill: hospital, places to go, eat, shop, worship, visit with children, etc.. Check this site out for an extended stay: Home - Extended Stay 4 Less Most will probably be in the Charlotte, NC area though. There are some in SC but other areas.
