I have family moving to York County. I wanted to buy them a subscrption to a newspaper. Which one should I order? The Charlotte Observer comes to mind, but are there any others?
TIA
If you want local news and information about the Rock Hill/ Fort Mill area, the Rock Hill Herald has more of that. The Charlotte Observer is the one we take, though. The Charlotte Observer sports news does not carry much info about SC teams, though (understandably). If you live in the Fort Mill township, they will deliver a free copy of the Fort Mill Times.
Thank you for all of your replies!
I see that the Rock Hill Herald is about the same ($92 for 52 issues) as the Charlotte Observer, but I'm thinking the Herald would probably have more local news/sports?
You can (I think - please correct me if I am wrong) get the Fort Mill Times and Lake Wylie Pilot for free. We do get the Pilot regularly in our mail box, and a friend said to call for the Fort Mill Times too.
These are smaller but would be nice in addition to the Observer or Herald for a more "local" view, depending on where you live.
