Description: Located a convenient 5 miles from downtown Birmingham, the Birmingham-­Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) serves 3 million passengers a year and is the busiest in the state. The airport is separated into a lower and upper level. The upper level is for passenger drop-off, and contains ticket desks, security, business center, and food courts. The ground level is for baggage claim, taxi service, and pickup. Though there’s no curbside parking allowed, a parking deck across the street is a short distance from the terminal and curbside shuttle service area. The deck offers 5,600 spaces for hourly parking and daily parking. The airport remote lot has 900 parking spaces. A complimentary shuttle is available from the remote lot. Hourly parking in the deck is $1 per hour or $24 per day and daily parking is $1 per hour or $12 per day. Remote parking is $1 per hour or $10 per day.
