Description: Operated by the Tucson Airport Authority and connected to Tucson International Airport, the executive terminal is the busiest of the three private fields, primarily because of its proximity to the airport and the city. Open 24 hours, it has access and facilities for all kinds of aircraft, from two-seaters to million-dollar jets. Aircraft services available include fuel, overnight parking, a weather briefing room, and lavatory clean-out, but no aircraft maintenance or repair services. (These are available at neighboring businesses, as is flight instruction.) There’s a pilots lounge in the terminal with Wi-Fi, plus car rentals and taxi and limo services. The terminal can also reserve cars and make hotel accommodations. At this airport there are no landing fees for privately owned aircraft, but commercial (cargo or for-hire) craft flying operation 135 or 121 will pay a fee per thousand pounds of the aircraft’s maximum gross landing weight capability. The UNICOM number is 122.95. Those in the know say this is a popular spot for the rich and famous (or infamous) to land and step out of their aircraft into a waiting limousine without curious observers ever seeing them.
