Description: There are over 211 entree and appetizer choices at this family-friendly restaurant right next to the wonderful Lee Lee Asian Market (see the Shopping chapter). The decor is minimal here but the food is plentiful, fresh, and delectable. Most people order the traditional pho soups, fresh spring rolls, and amazing iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk, but go off the beaten path and select some of the more unusual Vietnamese specialties available here. The crepe appetizer is big enough for two. A thin, crisp, coconutty shell is studded with scallions and filled with bean sprouts, shrimp, and thinly sliced beef and served with fresh mint and lettuce leaves. Grab a handful of bright green chopsticks from the handy container right on the table and dig in. Other interesting choices include broken-rice dishes and vermicelli bowls.
