Description: The wait at Mi Nidito on many evenings can be as long as 45 minutes. Serving Tucson since 1952, Mi Nidito has been voted the best Mexican food in several newspaper polls for many years. Just ask President Clinton. It was here at Mi Nidito that he lunched while in town.The decor hasn’t changed much over the years, nor has the food, a standard take on Sonoran cuisine. Mexican tile, whitewashed walls, and a fake palm tree in the back of the restaurant are not unlike decor in restaurants on the other side of the border. The large and crispy flautas are topped with lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, and a sprinkling of Mexican farmer cheese. The menudo is classic. The chiles rellenos and the burro deluxe are also filling and hearty.Mi Nidito is open for lunch and dinner every night except Mon and Tues.
