Description: Arizona is heaven for folks from other parts of the country who are die-hard baseball fans and a bit sun-starved. For about a month each spring from early March to the first of April, they can watch their favorite major-league baseball teams practice and spar with other teams during spring training. Multiple teams currently practice in Phoenix and its suburbs, including the Chicago Cubs at Hohokam Park in Mesa, the San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners at Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, the Los Angeles Angels at Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe, the Milwaukee Brewers at Maryvale Sports Complex in Maryvale, the San Francisco Giants at Scottsdale Stadium in Scottsdale, the Chicago White Sox at Camelback Ranch–Glendale, and the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals at Surprise Recreation Park. With each of these teams playing in town, baseball fans have hundreds of games to choose from during the month. Ticket prices vary, but vacant seats are not easy to come by, especially for the more popular teams.
